Activities to do in the Gard

In the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon and in the north of the Gard in the region of Provence Occitane, our campsite is ideally situated to allow you to experience a change of scenery holidays in the south of France. On the visiting side, the Gard is full of charming atypical corners that you must see at least once in your life.

1 hour from Nîmes, discover its famous ancient arenas which have survived the centuries and have just been restored.
The Pont du Gard bridge is also a Roman construction which is worth the diversion in an impressive green landscape. Afterwards, visit the Haribo candy museum for young and old.
To refresh yourself during a summer day, go to the Salamandre cave, 35 minutes from the campsite. Its stalactites are enhanced by splendid light shows. This site is very much appreciated by children.
For outdoor activities, with its rivers and hills, the Gard is a great place for canoeing, canyoning, hiking and mountain biking. You will also find potholing and climbing spots on mountains that overlook breathtaking panoramas of nature. Then go to the Camargue and experience family horseback rides to take in the sights and come back with a head full of memories.
