Created in 1970, the Cévennes Natural Park extends over 370 000 hectares spread over three departments: Lozère, Gard and Ardèche. This territory is endowed with an extraordinary biodiversity and beautiful and varied landscapes.
The Cévennes National Park is also the only medium mountain national park and the only one with a significant permanent population in the central zone of the park. The richness of its fauna and flora, the diversity of its natural environments and the abundance of its springs contribute to the exceptional character of this protected territory.
